Full on legit Italian deli. Wish I lived closer because I'd be here all the time. The Lucca's combo sammie is the way to go, IMHO. Great staff, very friendly, service was quick, and very fair prices.
Dropped in for a sandwich to take on a hike and loved really everything about Lucca's- true old school deli vibe with not only sandwiches but great assortment of European cookies and rittersport chocolates which I don't feel like I see around the Bay Area frequently. Also their quick dinner options looked really great and various so will come back to try them. Otherwise, I had a Lucca's Combo with the works and olive/ vinegar and it was a fantastic sandwich, really hit the spot during the hike. Thanks!
Best sandwiches I’ve had in the East Bay so far. Produce is always fresh and the meat is great. Sides are super good too.
Luccas Deli is a must when I am in the Bay Area! High quality deli meats, breads and ingredients. They also have a great selection of pre-prepared meals, drinks and deli shelf staples. There was a time you could catch a glimpse of Robin Williams, who popped in from time to time to enjoy a sammie.
Great deli sandwiches (Get the Dutch Crunch bread! ) & homemade frozen entres. Also wide selection of craft sodas & beer.
Came in for the 1st time and had a black forest ham & roast beef on dutch crunch roll and it was very tasty although I should have asked for a little more mayo. Tried their spinach dip (which was amazing) and their pesto veggie pasta (so-so). Definitely try this place if you are in the area you will not regret it
If it ain't broke don't fix it. This is a staple in Castro Valley- the best sandwiches in town. Highly suggest grabbing lunch here to go and taking it to the lake.
I’m not normally a sandwich guy, but really great local deli!! I bought a sandwich at 9 am for a day hike and it was delicious. Super neat as it acts as a small store as well. They offer lots of Italian to go foods beyond sandwiches too...
